I had my lasik surgery done by Dr. Jeff Boomer at Hunkeler Eye Institute in Overland Park, KS. I looked all around the Kansas City area for Lasik surgeons. Only Dr. Durrie and Dr. Boomer did intralase, which does not use a blade. Dr. Boomer was the only one certified by Intralase as an iLasik surgeon, so I went there. After many years of wearing eyeglasses, I finally decided to have a laser eye surgery. I only want the best so I’ve done a lot of research to find the best eye surgeon here in NYC. I found Dr. Emil William Chynn whose record is indeed remarkable. I called and have an appointment right away with his clinic, Park Avenue Laser Vision. The staff exceeded my expectations. They are very friendly and very informative. They really explained how the procedure works and the cost which I found is reasonable. My surgery was scheduled in the morning of June 13, 2008. Like any patient on the day of surgery, I was anxious. They gave me a pill to keep me relaxed. The LASEK surgery took only 20 minutes on both eyes! The surgery was not painful at all. Dr. Chynn and his assistant Dr. Almeida, was very precise and reassuring. It was indeed a life changing experience for me. I can see clearly now and I’m almost 20/20! As they say, it would get better and better everyday. And it is, life is good especially now that I can see clearly the beauty of the world around me.
